28 things I learned in my 28th year

  1. Getting older doesn't make life any less messy.
  2. Sometimes in life, you have to trust your gut. If it doesn't feel right, then it probably isn't.
  3. A guy is worth my time if he is able to follow the 4 P's: Protect, Provide, Profess (aka DTR), and have Passion (aka chemistry)
  4. True friends are the ones who are there to catch you when you fall (thank you all).
  5. My mom will always be my best friend.
  6. I can run.
  7. Life is much easier when you are an optimist.
  8. The Bible isn't that hard to read.
  9. If you can't love everything about yourself, no one else will be able to either.
  10. I am good luck for the Texas Rangers.
  11. Binge drinking is no longer something my body can handle (thank goodness).
  12. I'm actually a pretty decent cook.
  13. Even though my friends keep getting married and having babies, it doesn't make them any less of a friend to me.
  14. I am a diet coke addict, I've tried to stop, but my profession requires it!
  15. I'm getting better at doing things by myself.
  16. Just because someone is older then you, it doesn't mean they are necessarily wiser then you.
  17. I can't date anyone more social then me!
  18. I am an emotional person, that is just me, deal with it.
  19. Simplifying your life can be freeing. Giving things to those in need is even better.
  20. I'd rather be single and happy, then in a relationship that doesn't fill my love tank.
  21. If you don't want to kiss a guy you're dating, then he's nothing more then a friend.
  22. Family is important to me.
  23. I feel better when I workout at least 3 times a week.
  24. God has amazing plans for me, I need to rely on him more and on myself less.
  25. Being able to walk to the store, restaurants, and bars is pretty awesome. I don't think I could ever live in the booming burb until I have kids.
  26. You have to leave the past in the past if you want any chance of a future.
  27.  Patience.
  28.  I'm beautiful inside and out.
