My number one pet peeve in life is simply this- Don't say you're going to call if you're not going to!

I don't know why this annoys me so much in life, but it does. When someone says I'll call you later or as Mr. Social said tonight via text "I'll give you a shout later ", I expect you to follow through. Since high school this has been known as my pet peeve. It really doesn't matter if you are a potential boy or not, this rule pretty much applies to everyone in my life. If you say you'll call, then call. If you can't call then feel free to reach me via text, email. twitter, Facebook, or visiting me in person.
I know this pet peeve of mine relates back to my need to control things. But there is nothing worse then waking up the next morning only to see that your phone has received no action even when you were in the unconscious. It's bad enough sitting next to your phone on your couch, blogging about the phone not ringing....(Yes, I checked my phone three times in typing this)
For those of you that are lucky enough to have my number, feel free to blow my digits up with some worldly advice on how to let be so uptight or controlling! I need a prescription of a chill pill!

Usually when a guy says he will call/text, I immediately erase the phrase from my mind. And when I find myself checking the phone too much, I put my phone on silent and hide it in my closet, usually in my favorite shoes.
Basically, guys are about as reliable as the trolley in San francisco.
