Lessons of Love

I have to believe that all you need is love... love comes in all different forms, and for this single girl love is all around her.

Here are lessons I've learned from all the loves of my life: 

- Be with someone who you can be crazy goofy with

- A guy that can cook is a definite turn on, especially when they have jazz music on and a open bottle of wine.

- Just because things are easy, doesn't mean they are always right

- You should be proud of the person you are with, and want to show them off... He should be screaming from the rooftops that you are his lady

- A guy should pursue you

- A relationship with family is a must, especially if you want to have one of your own someday.

- Judge a guy by the way he treats his mother

- Birth Order DOES matter-I need to date a guy who is not the oldest child (like myself) 

- Dating should be an experience that is full of firsts

- He must have a relationship with God

- Communication is make or break in a relationship

- Being in love isn't a feeling

- Loving someone is not trying to change them

- When you are around that special someone, they should make you feel like the most beautiful girl in the room

- You do deserve to be told you are pretty, smart, funny, beautiful, witty, amazing, etc

- While I want my boyfriend to be my best friend, I don't want to fall in love with someone who was previously my best friend 

- First dates should be spent sober

- In a relationship both people should be equals 

- He should not be pursuing you while he is dating someone else, engaged, or married. UGH!

- Long distance relationships are hard

- You must understand each other's Language of Love (a must read)

- Trust is hard to regain once it is lost

- A guy who wants to be with you will move mountains and swim oceans.

- Good things do come to those who wait

Special shout out to all my exes who live in Texas... If it wasn't for you guys screwing up, I would never have had the opportunity to meet my Mr. Forever. From each of you I have learned what I want and what I deserve from the man in my life. 

You've gotta kiss a lot of frogs before you find your prince. I guess I have A LOT more kissing to do!
