A Double Header

Today will forever go down in my history book as the day I had a double header, a double header in dates that is. Yes, my e-dating adventure has produced some major entertainment. On Friday when I was "booking" my weekend, I never intended on going on two dates back to back with my e-boys, but it just happened to unfold that way.

Game One- <3 <3 <3 <3 <3
- This  player really has his game together, we shall name him D. D since day one of our e-correspondance has always been timely in his replies. After we did the whole number exchange, he texted me promptly and asked when I would like to get together. He chose a quaint Sunday afternoon date at a local coffee house. From the moment I saw him arrive ten minutes early (yes, I was in my car staking it out) I liked him. Of course I like anyone who is on time! We met in the coffee line and he proceeded to act like this wasn't some awkward blind date. Did I mention he had stellar looks and killer blue green eyes?? He instantly caught my heart strings when he told me that his mother was in town and they had been shopping all day. At first I felt guilty realizing that D had left his mom on her own to come meet up with me, and then for a minute I wondered if this was some sort of line to make me like him even more! I soon realized this guy was legit, and actually was excited about getting to meet me. He bought my iced tea, his coffee, and two cookies (another point) and found a table for us to sit at. The convo was soooo easy! I liked everything he had to say. He had clear ambition, great life experiences, and really seemed to be on the same path I was on. More importantly, we both share a love for mexican food! We ended our date and he said that he would call to set up a happy hour at our mutual favorite mexican place. Definitely keeping my fingers crossed on this one!  I give this date five out of five hearts.

- Insert 15 minute gap in time, for me to call my girls blab about date one, apply lipstick, pop in a mint, and head to game number two.

Game Two- <3 <3 <3
-Player number two and I have been corresponding for a month now. He was the first match I recieved on e-dating and the first guy to exchange numbers with. We texted back and forth over that time, and it took me drinking a margarita and calling him out on his "lack of game" for him to buck up and ask me out. Now I realize my margarita mandate might have been a bit bold, but in this one instance it did get me what I wanted... to finally meet this guy! Player number two chose watching the NFL All Star game at a local sports bar. M is a very nice guy, though he is my height or a hair taller. Height isn't a total deal breaker for me, but I generally go for guys that I can wear a pair of heels around. We sat down at a table at the bar underneath a big screen. Conversation was very easy, almost as if we were two buddies from college catching up. We had a lot of things in common, but there wasn't the same romantic chemistry I had with D. I started to feel like "the Bachelorette" does, comparing the two men I had been on dates. We had a good time and our game did last until the third quarter of the football game. At that point we were way too distracted by the elderly couple mugging down at the bar, and the baby shower going on in the other room (yes people, there was a baby shower at a sports bar on a Sunday night). I'm not sure which was more disturbing the old people who needed to get a room, or the pregnant lady celebrating her unborn child in the back room. M did gain some points by paying for the meal and beers, and for saying that he was glad I called him out on his lack of follow through Friday night (thank you margarita).  I give this date three out of five hearts.

Juggling two men was definitely no easy task today, I don't know dating shows do it. After awhile I found myself trying to remember which story I had already shared. Both dates were great experiences, and I would go out with both M and D again. I don't suggest booking two dates in one day, because the thought of it was a little bit intimidating. I had to keep telling myself that I was setting my own personal dating record.

Stay tuned and see who is ready for another match up. GAME ON!
